a few class ring questions! (meanings, symbols, ect.)?
i'm a junior and im trying to design my class ring, but i have a few questions! -if you get the letter crest on the ring, what is suppoed to be on it? -what is the polaris star? -is it ok if you dont want to use your real birthstone? (i hate the color of mine) - is it cheesy to put a peace sign on one side? (i'm not really involved in sports any more and the don't have a writing design) please please help!

- Not sure about the letter crest thing. The Polaris star is also known as the north star, and it is what sailors used to navigate after when they were out on the sea before charts were made. As for the peace sign, it's not cheesy if it actually matters to you, but if it's just a filler then maybe a little.
- I answered your other question, but I'll go ahead and put it here too. Hey, I'm a Junior too and trying to decide on my class ring. - The letter crest is usually either an initial of your name or sometimes school initials with HS on the bottom for high school (depends on where you buy it). - I know what the Polaris star is but I don't really know why people choose to put it on their rings for anything other than just decoration. It looks good but I don't really think there's anything symbolic about it. - A lot of people choose school colors instead of birth stone, but you can really just choose your favorite color. My birthstone is the August peridot and I hate it so I'm going with blue for school colors. - As for the peace sign, I wouldn't put it on mine, but if you like it, go ahead. I'm thinking about putting the mascot and mascot name on one side and my school name and a "Class of 2012" design on the other. Just go with whatever looks good. I doubt anyone will really care. Good luck.
