1. Hardly expensive. Amethyst is just a variety of quartz which is one of the most common minerals in the crust. A 1 ct. amethyst ring runs about 25 bucks so I would put the stone at about 10-15 bucks.

Sometime you can get a much larger amethyst for the same price. I narrowed the search down to about 1 ct so you can see. hope this helps.
